Competitiveness

They are on a par with the disruptive innovations implemented, if the public authorities do their part in terms of the quality of the rail network.

Automation of transshipments

Automated Guided Vehicles designed to work in synergy with intelligent railcars provide automated transshipment of sea containers, swap bodies and semi-trailers. An RsR Cargo train of any length can be processed in 15 minutes, all with a low land impact.

The design of these low-cost transshipment yards makes intermediate stops feasible in order to profitably capture freight flows generated in the local area of the interchange hub.

Lightweight, long and quiet trains

TrainLong-RsR-02

The distributed motorization combined with a reduced tare weight of the railcar results in exceptional performances, in terms of carrying capacity, train length without intrinsic limit and very low noise emissions.

The design of the railcar allows the transport of semi-trailers in P400 mode

The RsR Cargo railcar was designed to specifically fit the semi-trailers dimensions. The lift-and-lower system greatly facilitates the horizontal transhipment of loading units and potentially increases their insertion in the rail gauge.

High capital turnover

The organization of the RsR Cargo hubs favors productivity and a good rotation of capital.

Several elements converge towards this objective:

  • Elimination of all unnecessary rail and road maneuvers.

  • Elimination of idle time.

  • 24-hour operation of the interchange. Predictive maintenance of the AGVs is done by rotating the equipment, with a buffer reserve.

  • Trains only make "minute" stops in stations, including in the Origin and Destination stations, and leave the commercial cycle only for maintenance.
